You don't want a sweet wine with an entree. A pinot noir or beajolais would be good with this, since you don't seem to like heavier wines - although I'd prefer a cabernet, merlot or zinfandel. Try a California vintner like MondaviCooking this recipe tonight; what wine would I use?
Any wine that you'd drink with the pasta. I'd go witha a chianti, that's what I like best with a traditionaly prepared pasta dish.
Chianti Classico or Barbera d'Alba
I suggest a sweet red wine....I like my sauce with a little sweetness.
