Looking for a recipe for whole chicken cooked with rice?

I used to have a recipe to cook a whole chicken in the stove, with garlic and herbs. You would put rice around the chicken and have a whole meal ready. I lost it. Anyone as something similar?Looking for a recipe for whole chicken cooked with rice?
Well, yes...

In the bottom of a large stew pot, put

2 tbs butter

2 tbs oil

and then cook together 1/2 cup of each of finely chopped onion, carrot, celery (a mirepoix in French cuisine )...

.....when beginning to smell fragrant, put in about 1/2 c warm water (no more, since chicken creates its own juices) and then your whole chicken (which you may wash over with water with a good squeeze of lemon juice, if you wish) ... brown it a little, cover the pot and

cook it for at least 45 minutes at med. heat and as it begins to round the corner, you may put in some herbs if you wish: whole peppercorns, a bay leaf, some thyme, a clove of garlic ... OR! you may leave it as it is with just the mirepoix and butter and oil, it is delicious... since you are accustomed to this sort of dish using a whole chicken, you will know when to put in the raw rice and some water for it ... finish it up and remove the chicken, ... season the rice and vegetables in the pot and serve ... If you wish you could add large pieces of carrot, onion and celery to steam them when you first put in the raw rice ... let them stay (with the pot covered) for about 25 minutes, then remove them to a covered dish to keep warm with a little butter ..Looking for a recipe for whole chicken cooked with rice?

I would think you would put in a cup of broth with the rice etc. and cover very tightly,, I do it on the stove top with a cut up chicken, cook the chicken for a bit then pull out add broth and rice and set chicken back in and cover tightly
My recipe calls for just mushroom soup, chicken, and rice!@~
